just make sure you use a LOT of dye (if you're using the Rit from the grocery store), cause if you use only what's recommended on the bottle it will come out a strange color of purple lol. i'd use 3-4 times what it says. also don't just use hot water...use boiling water, it works better that way. i learned all this on my seatbelts that i had to do 3 or 4 times to get it right. also when rinsing the shit off, once you think you have it done good enough where the water is running clear...rinse it 5 more times or run it through your washing machine or that shit will be everywhere in the first rain.

i have used the SEM "sure coat" a lot of times to tops and head liners, i even did the seat of a chopper in a wood-grain affect and none of them has ever faded or cracked and fell off. if you have ever been in a large aircraft chances are the seats were colored with the stuff. fact its the only interior coloring product Boeing uses on each and every plane they build
