When i got home today it turned over on the first start, drove it to the corner store and came back. Shut it off and samething. That was at about 5p. Just came home and it fired up again on the first try 1045p. Then i shut down and then wouldnt turn over. The fuel pump isnt powering up when it doesnt TURN OVER. Is it goin bad? Ignitiion switch bad? Im gonna drive it to my shop tomorow and check the grounds in the back. I just asked the question hoping someone went through the same problem. thanks for the info those guys, greatly appreciated.

How do you know the fuel pump is not working? Are you just listening to it? Need to check and see if fuel pump relay is working. If not, check to see if it has its 2 12 volt sources and 1 ground

I've never had the fuel pump go bad on mine, or any of my friend's s10s. It could just be bad tho. I would trace that ground 1st, it ends on the drivers side of the frame near the spare tire x-member. I mentioned it before, but it could be easy as tightening that bolt that you may have removed when pulling the bed off, or something along those lines. If it is the pump, that sucks cuz they're kinda pricey, I'd hit a junkyard. I haven't seen much on them going out prematurely, so you'll probably have luck with a used one.
