pie cutting control arms

a friend of mine heard that he could do this to gain the 1/2 inch he needs to lay out the front of his truck, what all do you have to do to pie cut the control arms? how much work is it and does any one have pics of this?

i forgot about that thread in the air suspension forum about this (i just found it lol). will this work with tha mazdas also???

This will work for anything with a weldable control arm that is binding the cut is made to allow the joint to go to the laidout point. Some  arms shouldnt be done like newer f-150s and shit with cast arms. Hope this helps ya
