Any one out there know of anyway to make a automatically draining water trap?

I work at a chemical plant and have to work with piping and everything all the time.  What I am thinking would work is a standard water trap with threads on the bottom thne find a solenoid valve that is normally open and tie it in to the compressor wiring put the water trap between the comp and the check valve.  This way while the compressor is running the valve will close and no air leaks out then once the compressor shuts off the valve will go to its normally open posistion and allow the water trap to drain.  Then once the compressor turns back on the solenoid is activated and the valve is closed allowing the tank to fill.  This will also help the compressor as it will always start up with zero head pressure.

They make them already. When the water gets to a certain level they drain. They also have auto drains that are on a timer that you can adjust for how often and how long they open up for.

Just don't use one with a EDC or you will have oil spots everywhere you park. Street Beat customs sells one, I just can't find it on their site right now.

Just have the autodrain go into a filter after the valve, I ahd a setup just like that on a sanden, made the startup way nicer and I made the whole setup for like 95$

Grunion Asco Water Trap ASCO filters are designed to provide your air suspension system with top quality air. By removing water and particals from the air, the filters give that maximum life to your other air suspension components. The ASCO water trap features a semi-automatic drain which allows for simple removal of filtered water. High flow rates maintain air suspension system speed. Metal bowl guard protects the unit from breakage.

OK thanks guys didn't know they had them auto drain that was sutible for airsuspension apllications. Due to the vibration and pressure. I was thinking of makeing a water trap with A valve on the drain then a check valve on the exit side all a self contained unit. Just can't find a valve that's rated for high enough pressure.
