Auto Industry Slowdown

Is the auto industry slowdown affecting anybody else directly? I have been off since the 22 of dec and I do not go back to work until jan 6. Then we are shut down every friday in jan for sure and possibly every friday in feb & march as well. They are also discussing shutting us down for the march break as well. That is a lot of hours & a lot of $$ that I am going to hurt to be missing. I do not even work for one of the big 3. I work for a honda supplier making metal stampings for the safety cage. I can only imagine what the big 3 employees & supplier employees are going through. Any body else getting a direct kick in the balls by this??

here in Michigan it sucks i know several of the gm plants or idle along with ford and chrysler for a few more weeks and when come back it wil lbe different... it sucks i got let go from my uncles garage for stupid issues(family) and also no work it was slowin down big time
