VSS wire/wiring diagram
Hey everyone I have a 93 B2600i 2wd 5 speed. I am putting all new gauges in my custom sheet metal dash but need to find the vss (variable speed sensor) wire to hook up my speedo. I have been told that the B2600i's have one but I haven't found a decent digram to find it... If anyone could give me a diagram or a wire color and location I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance!
Not sure on the 2600,but on the 2000 and 2200 the autometer GM sender will screw onto the trans in place of the speedo cable, you have to add a in it to take up the slack and it will tighten right up, you also have to replace the square GM drive pin that comes with sender with a keyed tach drive pin, (autometer part) if they sent autometer guages you may have to get a signal transfer box unless the gushed has multiple pulse settings or is programmable, I have done lots of Mazda's, sounds hard but is pretty easy, there are other ways and brands of adaptors, this is how I do it,hope this helps
Couldn't find a 2600 but for a 93 2000/2200 it should be: Green/Red in the 22 Pin ECM connector, 5th position left to righ Or 94 all B-series: Grey/Black Driver's Side Shock Tower, Harness from Transmission,
I'm not sure if the speedo cable on the B2600i is the same as the B2000/B2200 but I found that a VSS generator from a KIA sportage transmission screws directly onto the B2000/B2200 tranny without any modifications. It may be worth looking into.
Alright thanks guys... i already have a speedometer that is not mechanical so using a cable wont work. I might just have to look on the tranny to see what color it is and search for it up above. I am almost 100 percent sure the ecm isnt the same on the 2600i compared to the others<!--session data-->
U.S. Model trucks made in 1993 and earlier do not have a VSS sensor on them, they are all cable driven from the factory. Sounds like the kia piece is your easiest option.
