Question about gearing?

I have a 2000 silverado with a 4.8 and the stock gearing is 3.42. will a 3.72 rear end work on it? Or will it mess up the ABS?

no it wont hurt it i had a 3.73 stock gear before i lifted my avalanche and replaced it with a 5.38 gear and no putting back the 3.73 gear in it . just better have a specialist that knows how to install it do it for you cause its aggrivating as fuck to get the shim spacing right so the gear doesnt chatter
