All the brokers I listed are very good reputable companies.  We've been in business since 1999 and we haul hundreds of cars each month for these brokers with no problems whatsoever.  They only deal with trustworthy carriers.  I listed the best ones first in my opinion.

I sold High School mini, it went to Florida for $750 in an open trailer. it would have gone enclosed for $950 but we missed it by like an hour. It got their fine, no problems.

Hey Doug, Ive shipped and recieved cars on open carriers and never had a problem. Ive also personally towed a truck from Iowa to Cali. But It was always around summer. I cant remember who I used. One of the main concerns of the transporters is Drivability. If it doesnt hold air for more then a week it might not be drivable, you cant expect them to figuer out how to raise it if it lays out on the trailer or worse steer it when its layed out. The last car I shipped was to North Carolina, I didnt set up the delivery it was a car I sold, It left on the same truck it showed up on. I believe he used a shipper that advertises on http://www.layitlow.com/ . He was happy when it arrived and i cried a little when it left.
