it WAS that bad.  Gavin told me he could make it driveable and safe but still look the exact same (except everything under the rockers new) by april, or i could buy a bone stock one and he could have me a full show truck by april.  He found me the red 89 with a TBI 350 (with 29k miles on it, the owner had the reciept), power everything, straight body, interior in good shape, just a couple of hiccups for $600.  So we're going that route.  I'm almost happy to be done with the yellow bus, even though i lost about $6000 on it ($4500 to buy it and drive it 3 times, about $1000 to get it home from Utah, $500 in misc. shit), i'm glad to be rid of it cause that mother fucker was cursed since i got off the plane in Utah and they lost my suitcase with all my tools in it. in case you need a refresher, here's a link to the whole sordid story:  http://www.streetsource.com/forum/topic.aspx?topic_id=106884&Topic_title=burban+update%2c+now+with+pics%2c+links+to+metric+assload+of+pics&forum_id=14&forum_title=Full+Size+Truckin+General Tom, thanks for posting the pics, i wish i could have helped but shipping would have been a bitch to FL, lol
