Z-ing the frame and control arms?

I am redoing doing a dakota that I bought to lay frame. I have already got the rear layin just need a little help on the front. it got 20 rims with i think (djm) upper control arms. do i have to get lower control arms? and where and how the best way to go about z-ing the frame? I never done one before so could use all advice and pics as possible. Can I do the z as it sit on jack stand motor and all still there. ALL help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
