raising my gas tank

I have a 2003 silverado and im looking to bag it. i want it to lay frame, but the gas tank is going to lay on the ground. is there a way to raise my gas tank without buying a fuel cell?

I know they make a corssmember for 88-98 maybe its the same? Maybe you could fab something like it

to raise the gas tank you cut the two cross members off and raise the front one (closes to the cab) up 1".  Alot of people use a 1" piece of square tubing for a spacer.   Then raise the back crossmember up to be flush with the top of the frame. to get pics of this go to fullsizechevy.com or gmfullsize.com and do a search
