u-joint maxed out need some ideas!

I am trying to finish up my frame for my stock floor on my Tahoe and going over everything 3 and 4 time and today I discovered when its completely laid out the u joints on the the yoke coming out of the transmission touch and won't rotate when its laid out =  NO DRIVING SLAMMED. Anyone have any Ideas for a fix?  Is there a company that makes high clearance yokes?  Could I clearance the one I have by grinding it out safely? help me out family!  I have a one piece factory drive line and would like to keep it

You could look into having a double cardan joint installed onto your driveshaft at your local driveline shop. Google it for a pic, they typically turn up in off road applications.
