the clear tanks that I have seen are all plexi-glass whammy tanks for hydrolics that people have converted for use as a air tank.

I think a clear airtank would do only 2 things... contain pressurised air and become filthy on the inside.

well couldn't you run some time of filter? because I thought of that as well...  I just like the way they look in a sheetmetaled bed....

How would you rate the air pressure??

Well if they are used for Hydraulics they have to be rated really high!  Most hydro setup, the pressure is about 1,500 to 2,500 psi of oil pressure, which should be about 500psi of air pressure.I would like to see one though that can stay clean using air! Even with an air filter or anything, air buils a lot of water, just imaging how the shower doors turn white do to water, I'm pretty sure thats how the clear air tank will get.

from my understanding, a whammy tank in a hydro set up doesnt keep pressurized fluid, just a reservoir for the pumps to pump. could probably throw a little CLR cleaner in the port of the tank, much like doing anti freeze in the winter.
