I've had a few over the years and as much as I love the way they look - not on a daily.  In Arizona the leaks were not that often, but like Jeremy said the wind noise blows (literally).

We have a Britax on our bug. It isn't stock but it has been on there a while. We don't drive it in the rain but I have never noticed any leaks when I wash it. The only issue I have is it can be a little noisy when it is open. It is nice though, makes it feel like there is more room inside.

I have one in my MIRAGE   I do love it but it is noisy when its closed I have to crack it open a little bit to get the wind noise to go away though and it now does not as close as tight as it use to it only leaks if you spray water at the sides in the rain mine is fine

you also have to remember that you just gave someone a massive whole in your roof to easily get in and anything else out of your truck without ever making any noise. it only takes a knife to slice a rag top. if anything I would put in a sliding glass sunroof, it's not going to have anywhere near the noise and greatly decrease the risk of leaks.

i had an inalfa power sliding rag in my caprice didnt leak and i never had any wind noise they are pricey (1000$) and another draw back is they only come in one size and if ur dually is quad cab its entirely way to small because it was actually some what small in my caprice and like people have said before its all about the instalation if u dont want leaks or noisei say go with the g3 3 piece glass sun roof ive always wanted to do that
