I have a Lincoln WeldPak 100 110v, Lincoln Pro Mig 175 220v, and a Lincoln AC-225 stick. I have used 110v Hobarts and 110v and 220v Millers and they are all badass! Just personal preference is all it boils down to.

Yea, mine sits most of the time too! lol. I used it when I was broke trying to build a truck and couldnt afford a 220v MIG. Welded a few notches and bag mounts in with it. Got to be carefull with it though, crank it up too high and you are burning holes in 1/4" plate, lol!

--------------------------------------------- Originally posted by SoloSpecialties same here, ive never owned a 110 tho,and i hate it when people use them for frame work..i dont care how good they say it penetrates lol. --------------------------------------------- So this won't work from a 110?? Hmmmm.....

Welds look good bro, but unless you beveled all those edges your penetrationprobably  isnt going to be that deep, not hatin, but I wouldnt take the chance on a frame.. I use a Hobart 180 and love it..

Well pull me from the conversation, cuz I just realized I'm using a Miller 140 115v, not a 110..LOL

---------------------------------------------Originally posted by SoloSpecialtiesEdited: 5/16/2009 10:14:44 PM by SoloSpecialtiesi got the 187 220v. its a beast. i have used it almost daily for 2 years, only thing i have replaced was the trigger on the gun, which i really didnt replaced i just jerry rigger a push button mommentary switch to it haha. ive done everything from sheetmetal to 3/8" plate with it with no problems. i say buy it,you wont be dissapointed, not with a 220 atleast,i cant speak for the 110's since ive never used a 110 welder of any brand. ---------------------------------------------HAHA..I did the EXACT same thing on my Hobart 180...people jive when they first see it. But, when I tell them to try it and they see that my button is actually more comfortable and easier to use they are like "maybe I need to break my trigger".I have had mine for 9 years and that is the only issue..and that happened about 4 years ago.
