i (personally) have no issues with anyone in the scene for the right reasons, bringing new ideas and showing the future what is able to be brought to the table. ive met "a few" older guys in clubs over the past 20 years that just dont put anything in the scene anymore and that doesnt make them any better than a "newbie", "junior" or "minor". we need a shot in the arm to keep the movement alive and if its our youth, thats a win/win for everyone, every club in every state....... alot of todays youth needs guidence and we can possibly be the ones to keep em out of trouble and show them there is a future outside, drugs, alcohol and trouble making....... best of luck in your clubs grouth!!!!

We will allow someone to petition but won't make them a member til they are 18. We had a situation where a parent hated us, said we were a bad influence and such. Well the kid ended up leaving the club after a couple years and NOW is a strung out emo dating a 16yr old and he is 20. When he was in DO he was always working and working on his truck. Now he is homeless and unemployed. We were the bad influence huh.

you know i was just teasing, right?  i was just thinking along the lines (cause we've all been there) that when i was 16, i was into minis back then too & there sure were a lot of young "groupie" chicks that always hung around causing a lot of drama...even if the kid is real level headed.   it's real good of you to consider accepting him.  not a lot of people would.  the only part that will suck for him is that a lot of the 3 day shows, you have to be 18, plus he won't be able to go to the bars.  it's a good lifestyle for him to get into, cause like spiderman was talking about, it'll keep him out of trouble & learning stuff instead of becoming a dopehead or something!

well i was under age when i first met up with my club and things worked out good but all of us were under age at that point there were a few that were older but for the most part we were still in or recently out of high school. any way fast forward a few years and we come across chad he's 17 and had ben expelled from school for a year for getting caught drinking at a football game and what did he build by himself over that year away from high school? this fine s-10 with parts donated to him by jason from suicidedoors.com.

all done by himself i did however go over there to help him hold the door while he lined it up. now he's in college and trhe projects been put on hold but this kid is amazing when it comes to getting work done and doing it right. but yeah he did get a little out of hand the first show we took him too but everyone gets that way when they are young and drunk. just be easy and bring up your new recruit the right way dont let him get too out of hand
