amber reflectors in headlights

i'm wanting to remove the amber reflectors inside my headlights on a 2008 silverado. what would be the best way to do so? i obvously want to do it right so i dont have to bu a new headlight. i saw a 07-08 sierra in a sport truck mag a while back that had them removed. Thanks in advance

Does that technique still work with plastic headlightsBecause I don't know of very many headlights that are  made outta glass these days lol
