The whole shackle thing on top of the axle, has me scratching my head??????  I now have a headache.

It is a 3 watts setup, so basically the axle would travel near vertical just like a watts keeps the rear from shifting side to side. Really sketchy looking fab work though. The 2x2 looks like shit going to the bags like that, and none of the tabs are radiused? Welds are questionable too. Neat idea bad execution.

I think its the tabs there but i cant really tell. I would hate to see that thing on the freeway, all the tabs  look so thin. It could cause a chain reaction when something breaks on that setup.

Because it has 3 watts links keeping the axle front to back and left to right it moves completely straight up and down. Now everything else that travels in an arc has to ride on shackles because otherwise it will pull the axle. The watts links keep the axle from rotating.
