universal joints

as far as universal joints go if i dont want the bling is it worth buying flaming river? would afco joints be suffcient? i was in local hot rod shop & guy was saying afco are ment to go in straight line, not be on road & was pushing me toward using FR. any thoughts on this?

If the joint looks light weight it probably is. I prefer the Flaming River chromoly joints that aren't billet, less bling but they cost almost as much.
