when you triangulate a lca on a d50 how far should you put the new bushing away from the stock lca bushing. or what angle should the new bar be at? also on the same truck i built cups for the top of the bag and when i raise up the lca to where it will be when its laid out its at an angle. like the top of the bag will be flat and the bottom will be at an angle when laid out is that ok for the bag? its a slam specialties bag if that matters. thanks

I always try to triangulate as far as I can, but that isn't ever as far as I would prefer because of space constraints.   Double convoluted bags can handle being mounted in some pretty twisted situations. I try to have the top and bottom plate as close to parallel at half travel, that means that they will not be parallel when laid out or at full lift.

ok next question when i put the bag in it was at such an angle when laid out the plates were rubbing on the bag. so i decided to cut an angle on the cup do you see a problem with a cup thats on a angle? im also gona have to cut into the lca at an angle too just to make the bag fit. thanks for the help.

I almost always angle the top and/or bottom mounts to get the bag to fit nicely.

one more question how important is a front sway bar? if i triangulate the lca i dont think there will be room for the sway bar mount.

This is another one of those gat debate questions...   I don't ever run them.

ok i got another question i started cutting up my lca to put the bag mount in and the lower mount needs to be 1/4 inch back to not interfeer with the ball joint. so is it ok if the cup and the lower mounts are off set 1/4 inch when the bag is collapsed?

The Firestone engineering manual says that you can offset the upper and lower plates by one inch for every bellow. What that meas that on a typical double convoluted air bag the top and bottom plates can be off by as much as 2". Now even if you are running Slams or some other type of bag, I can't see how 1/4" would be an issue.
