help form the ram guys

i have a 07 ram i am trying to put a cd player in it but if i hook up the red wire from the deck to the harness which should be my power and the yellow is memory, the player comes on for about 3 sec and cuts off i can eject a cd but it wont play. i have tried another player but same thing. i can hook the red to both yellow wires and it plays but of course it wont cut off with the truck. thanks ahead of time. 

There is no ignitiom power in the harness on the 07 rams.Des your truck have the infinity system?If it does you will need an interface module to make it work as it is a digital amp and does not have a normal turn on wire.If you do not have the amplified system you can get away with hust running an ignition wire up to the head unit.

run the red wire from the deck to the drivers side cigarette lighter, and use that as your ignition turn on. I believe the wire you need is the one with a red stripe, dont remember exactly.
