Silverado loses fm reception when HID lights are on.

Ok here goes.  I tried to post this before and i think it did not work, so maybe one more time.  I own an 03 silverado and i recently installed an HID low beam conversion kit onto it.  The plug fit, but the polarity was wrong on the wires coming into it so I flipped them in order to have the right polarity.  I did not have to use any relays, just a plug and play kit minus the design error(which I have seen multiple times on this 9006 kit).  I am very happy with the lights except when I turn the lights on, my FM radio reception goes completely out the window.  Someone please help me with this, as of yet I do not have sat radio and it is driving me crazy.  By the way this problem has existed with previous radios in the same vehicle.

I had the same problem try putting the ground from the hid to the battery and if that dosen't work you might need a noise filter for the radio

can you put a noise filter on an antenna?
