I love my f-150 except the fact. I keep hearing about these horror stories of spark plugs coming outta the block...   Anyone recommend any injectors? I have a slight miss at around 35-40mph. Just changed all my coil packs and spark plugs with motor craft. Runs alot better but still get a slight miss when its cold as balls outside.   Mikey what rims are those? I been looking for some 20s or 22s. Truck looks killer.

--------------------------------------------- Originally posted by cheese Edited: 1/15/2009 8:26:15 AM by cheese the motorcraft part # is AGSF-32F-M the list price is $8.92 pc. they may differ from the plug in the truck now, but these are what you need to run. becarefull taking the out and watch pulling the threads out with the plug. that is the only issue they have. i would only run motorcraft plugs on a ford!! --------------------------------------------- is this the right thing. its a pretty good deal. 34 shipped for 8.   http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SP432-Motorcraft-Premium-Spark-Plugs-AGSF32FM-Best_W0QQitemZ280267869163QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?_trksid=p4506.m20.l1116

THESE LOOK LIKE THE RIGHT ONES!! IT TELLS ME IN MY PARTS LIST THAT THEY MAY DIFFER FROM THE PRODUCTION PLUG. THAT IS DUE TO SO MANY PART# CHANGES, ALL THE TIME!

One thing no one mentioned was whatever plug make sure it is platinum tipped or you will be buying coils shortly after. Depending on the year I would inpsect your coil boots when you get them out. If they are cracked replace them or you will get spark jump to the cylinder head at some point.

Some F150 5.4L motors are a pain, espicially the 3 valve 5.4L engine with the Glow plug style spark plug. Those are a whore to change. I have seen a few 4 valve 5.4L engines spit out a plug but less than 10 in 5 years. Those I was able to fix with a helicoil in the head.

Good points Mater. A swivel 7mm (not a 7mm on a swivel), is a HUGE time saver for removing the coil packs. Also, prior to 2003 the heads had less threads. I believe they are all now 10 thread to prevent the plug spit.. was a big issue on the supercharged 5.4's.
