Anyone have a Duramax Diesel?

Im contiplating trading the wifes Yukon Xl for a 2500HD Crew Cab diesel. Just wonder what kind of mileage they get? My yukon gets 10-12 and I have heard people say they get 18-20mpg unloaded is that true? I need first hand experience no my friend told me stuff.

my dad has a 3/4 4x4 gets 20ish with no trialer and aroun 15ish pullin a 20' trailer and decent sized kubota.... has a hypertech programmer.
