minis in ny

does anyone have any minis in ny? i just moved up here a few months ago and was wondering about street laws and stuff. i'm from sc and we didn't have inspections and shit down and i was wanting to bag me a truck in the near future and was wanting to know what some stuff is alright to do. i've done some stuff to trucks and i know my way around minis pretty good and i can handle any kind of welder seeing as i do it for a living. but just wanted to know what to look forward to up here. thanx for any help
