viair conpressors

Viair says to never mount upside down (head directly at the bottom), as it will not dissapate heat.. I can see the whole, heat rising thing when parked and running, but when driving there must be plenty of air flowing past to keep it cool.

There was a thread on here somewhere a couple years back where a bunch of people that had burned up their viairs posted their wiring and how they were mounted. those that were sideways ended up with an egg shaped cylinder, and those that were upside down seized due to heat. their didnt seem to be anyproblems for the people that ran a good power source and mounted them right side up in an area with air flow.
