why if i can aks???? does it make the wheel not safe???? never heard of it being done but then again i dont know shit about duallys
I think they are referring not to mill work being done, but the secrecy behind doing it. there are only a few shops that know how to properly mill down the wheels safely and they do not share the technique.

I agree people act like its a ancient art and no one will say how its done. Its not like most people have a cnc turning station to turn them down there selfs.
I was so curious i signed up on duallyscene.com and still no one will say a word about it

If he is like me, I dont think they really do anything to the wheel.
im just curious, so dont attack me,lol, whats the big deal about stretching a 22 over the 22.5? just a pain or flat out unsafe? ive seen a few duallys running the steel wheels with them stretched over, but from what i heard you cant mill down the steel wheels.

you dont put a 19" tire on a 20" wheel do you? its just not safe. the tires arent made to stretch that far.
If I knew how to mill them down and make them work. And made money doing it........I wouldnt tell others how to do it either. Especially if that was how I made my money by doing that service. I am sure people learned to do it from trial and error.(and by messing up a few good wheels trying to do it.) And those wheels are not cheap.....so once I got it right, I wouldnt tell everyone either.
Any machinist should be able to do it. Most shops probably don't want anything to do with it because of liability reasons.
it seems like something that can be done on what ever you mount the wheels with your just taking a half inch off the the mountlip, i dont know but yeah if you want it done either do it or pay to have it done.
