anyone using the SD 88-98 gas tank crossmember?

just wondering how well it does its job? do you still have to notch for the driveshaft?

anyone?

i personally wouldnt bother, too expensive... a sawzall, a drill and an hour with your bed off and you can save yourself alot of cash. the tank will be raised and xmember notched and you wont have to remove those rivets. if you have a reg. cab your gonna need to notch the cab a lil too for 28"+ tires....

maybe sd should start selling pre-notched cabs too?

I have used them with good luck. No you dont have to do any thing to them for the driveshaft. Check to see if you need both are if you can just order the rear and redrill the front holes.

do they raise the tank? ive heard that they dont.

Well if in your case it doesnt. Let us know we can build your new gas tank for you to fit in the stock spot.
