no thats not mine... mines much uglier and i have no card reader for my camera which i cant post pics

its a macpherson strut setup i do believe

I don't even know if I could explain how I bagged my Taurus wagon back in the day.

I left the strut in it, but removed the spring and the spring mount from the strut so that it was more like a locating shock. Then just in front of the upper mount I made the upper bag mount and the lower bag mount was a long rod that attached to the lower arm and and came up to a pad the bag bolted to. Keeping the lower mount from moving around was the trick, but it worked out ok.

so if i remove the strut all together but still run a shock what will happen

Your wheel and hub will flop around like a fish out of water.

The strut is what keeps the wheel upright. If you notice, the shaft in the strut is pretty thick compared to a standard shock.

yeah, the strut is basically the spring, shock and upper arm all in one. look at how people have done some of the hondas and imports on profiles here. take ideas from that.

you could be totally sick and make it a rear wheel drive, using like a toyota frame and axel and such, o ya!

lol yeah i thought about making it rwd using s2000 swap but the stock motor has 47xxx and gets like 42 mpg
