For reference, here is how much mine comes through with my prelude on hydraulics. Case-in-point, the hydraulic cylinder comes up through the strut tower thus a lower drop with higher lift.

I love your setup.

Would you happen to have any pics of the front cylinder setup? (with the wheel removed)

Ok...Ive got a good question! Where do I get some pinch molding like AON-"OFFDAHOOK" is using on his car?? I need some to go around the holes that I cut in my strut towers!

TOWINLOW is right! Back in da' day when we used to bag Hondas we had lots of problems with the upper strut mounts cracking all over the place. We would take some .090 steel plate and cover over everything to keep it from spreading.

You can get the pinch molding at a fabric store (that's where I got mine).

The real way to get lower is to shorten the spindles and run bags on custom mounts, or hydraulics on a 6" cylinder. Sivic, you do need to cut out a little more hole though - go another 3/4" closer to the tower.

I have no trouble laying out my civic with cans. the biggest difference was shortening the spindle an inch. With 18's on it, it would sit the lower mounts on the ground and the upper control arm barely come through the tower.

How do you shorten a spindle?

We cut an inch out of the top just below the upper ball joint and welded it back together with stainless rod and a stick welder. Then heat treated it twice with a torch and quinching oil. I have beat the crap out of the car since I have had it and not broken the spindle yet. You can see in my pics that the upper arm barely comes through the tower.
