Only issue now that you have capped the notch off the truck, is that you will not be able to weld the outer plates to the top edge of the frame, which is fairly important IMO.

I would have staggered the welds on the inside, unless you are going to weld it solid. They look awesome!

he has the holes in the sides for plug welding though. It will be way stronger than the stock frame.

I see what you mean. I hope that once I cut out the center of my frame I can get in there and lay down a nice bead.

you could cut the frame say 1/4 in extra on each side and lay vertical bead on the inside of it b4 he puts the lower cap in and he should be good with those big ass plug welds.
