cleaning throttle body

i put a throttle body spacer on my s-10 and i want to clean the throttle body so it looks better. what is the best for cleaning it and not messing anything up? i used starting fuild on my valve covers and it look better. still got a little ways to go i just want to get the junk off of my motor. thanks in advanced.

carbaurator cleaner??? Thats what I used on mine

will that clean the outside of it? i just want the motor to looked better. I got an chorme intake and want to paint it black. how would i go by doing that?

throttle body cleaner for the inside. brake clean for the outside...

anything i should watch about cleaning it off with brake cleaner? would starting fluid be better?
