narrowing frame. . gear box ? ?

when narrowing the frame up front. . does the steering gear box go back in stock location and function or what? thats the only part confusing me and holding me back from doing so . . thanks

The box will stay where it is, but you will need to shorten the "center link" the same amount that you narrowed the frame. If done correctly, the steering should not change.
