can i cut the top post's off with a hack saw?I only need to use the side post and when the truck is fully laid out the top post are only a 1/8 of an inch away from the ground.

you do know that the side posts can't hold as much draw as the top posts, right? what are you using the battery for? can't you change your mount?

lets c 99% of trucks today have side mount so i thank im good there and 2 the only place left to move the battery would be some were in the back and i do not want to do that so cutting the top post off would be helpfull

yes you can cut them down. I worked for a battery company and we had done it on occasion for certain applications. Just be sure to try and cover it if clearance is a problem. This way you have no chance of shorting out.
