i just picked up a new truck and it has a full cab cut and i was wondering if anyone has messed with fixing one? is it easier to use a rear cab skin or build your own?

I personally never had one, but a buddy of mine did a walk through on his 88 Toyota, then when he decided to sell it he used the back wall out of another truck & re-welded it back in.

just weld some flat sheet metal back on same as smoothing the back wall

not really, you have to do something about the back glass.

Sounds like a roadster to me, or get a donor cab

ACTUALLY YES...I DID A WALK THRU ON MY 88 ISUZU PUP, REALIZED IT WAS RETARDED AND SIMPLY HIT A LOCAL JUNKYARD, REMOVED THE REAR SECTION OF THE CAB AND RE-INSTALLED ONTO MY TRUCK...NOT AS MUCH WORK AS IT SOUNDS I PROMISE...BUT OTHER THAN PURCHASING A NEW CAB I BELIEVE ITS THE BEST AND MOST CORRECT WAY OF DOING IT, BUILDING A CUSTOM WINDOW FRAME ISNT SOMETHING I THINK U REALLY WANT TO BE MESSING WITH, JUST MY OPINION THOUGH, TAKE FROM IT WHAT U WILL.

as said above brace it up & sheetmetal it smooth. its really not that hard to create a lip for the window gasket to seal on.
