380 viair compressor barely pumping?

i havea a brand new viair 380 and ive had it on my truck for a couple months and last night it desided not to pump. so i had to drag ass home.ca n anyone tell me wat woulkd be wrong. i really need elp fast cause i dont have any money to get another one right now. any help will be appreciated. thanks!

assuming your electrical is good, then I'd say the reed valve on the piston probably snapped. again, just a thought. Also, i have an 380C for almost two years, only having check valve issues. i got rebuild kit too from streetnshow, for $35.00. hope this helps.

broken check valve which pumped air back into the head of the comp which blew the comp. viair has been producing defective check valves ALOT lately from all the problems people keep telling me about. I have a 380 but i got it 3+ years ago, and ive had it a long time running with no problems.... tell viair about it and complain, maybe they'll send you another one. unless you wired it up wrong and voided the warranty

just tell them politely and they will be a lot more helpful than if you're a dick about it

yea i have two viair 480s and one of the check valves took a crap but i replaced it and its runing like a champ id disconnect the air line and see what she does then with no back pressure and just feel how much its pumping if its pumping fine then its deff. a check valve other than that get two rebuild kits and keep one in ur glove box ........ good luck
