sorry for shitty pic its off the cell phone. i noticed it when under the rear of a newer (bio)maxima today. the far right end is connected to the frame. the right of the aluminum piece is attached to the axle as well as the far left of the bar.

I would guess that it is a pannard bar. Most small cars get only about 5" of travel and a short bar, properly set up, would be tollerable.

Manufactures do some crazy stuff to keep the suspension neutral. Without seeing what is going on there it's tough to say what really happening.

Took a second to wrap my head around that photo- it almost looked like an automatic bind until I worked it out!
That looks pretty simple- would it only work for limited suspension travel, or do you think it could work well in place of a Watts link?
I'd love to see a custom setup in action...

That is how I assumed it worked, but I had no idea what it was called.

Crazy engineers!
