got this in my email today and cracked up thinking about the demotivatioinal poster with the old jacked up van with "free candy" painted on the side:

Hey,
I would like to purchase your car and i have a couple of questions.
Are you the original owner?
I wanna know a breakdown of work that has been done on the engine to the best of your knowledge?
I want to know your final pricing?
I stay in Missouri but i will be having the car shipped to Alabama.
I want to know your final price and my method of payment is via check.
If its acceptable by you, email me more pics and let me know so i can contact my private shipper as you need not to worry about shipping the car.
Regards.
Scott

oh, by the way, the subject like is this:

been there done that, when you post your ads selling your cars, you need to make sure your email address can not be read by one of those email programs or else they will try and by you first born

I once followed though with one of those offers, they sent me 3,000 in money orders for my 500 truck. But get this they came in a Valentines Day card that was as big as a magazine from Nigeria. I never cashed them but I thought it was pretty funny!

i did that for some rims i was trying to sell. got the money orders and everything. took them to the bank. bank said they looked legit and real. i said screw it put them in my account. 3 days later bank calls me and says that the checks were fakes. thats how they get you.

by the way since i knew it was fake i never sent the rims out. but you can see how people get screwed all the time because of it.

Gotta love it. I was working with the local DA on a scammer that got on my nerves. I had thier name and their Nigerian address and possible phone number. They were pretty amateur. I did a search for that persons email and found out tons of info. Gotta love google.
