i bought a brand new short block for my b2200. my question is should i pay to get my head rebuilt and machined or should i just put the new valve seals and stems in?

why didnt you get a long block? I am only asking b/c I will have to buy a B2200 engine very soon. Where did you buy the motor? around how much?

I have a full 87 B2000 motor harness and everything in sacramento, ca. Waiting for someone to buy it all... otherwise... trashcan.............

It would be pretty half a$$ed to drop in a new short block and not have the head freshened up while you're at it. I would go ahead and do it so that you aren't tearing into it again 60k miles later.
