I have been out of the truck scene for awhile and need to get my "never completed" project running so we can move to another house. Plus I need to sell it. It has two Thomas compressors and one is leaking air back through. I have read I can rebuild it or better just buy new. Is it better to still get thomas or is their a better brand. Let me know any suggestions and prices if you know of any good deals. I talked to IF Customs who built the suspension and they can send me out a new compressor but I just want to get some recommendations also.
Well if your planning to sell the truck soon then I would just get the 1 new compressor & go with that. If you decide to go with newer compressors then you can get the Viair dual packs...most shops offer them for good prices & Id go with the 380 models.
you may try just putting a check valve on the compressor if it is building pressure and just not holding it
few really good deals on new and used single and dual kits in the classifides lately.
might be better off getting a new or working used one just for piece of mind.
Thanks I will check that out. Where can you get check valves? I have heard about installing them and thought of just doing that.
Donny is on the right track. we've got comps and check valves if u decide to go that route. click my sig and look around.
