Why is this such a big deal?.

i took the Jimmy out today, and at least 30 people have to say shit when i say i didnt build it...Even when they are driving ragged-ass cars, they are automatically better the mine because they "built" them?

Why is it such a big deal if i like a truck enough to buy it build?.

Why cant people just appreciate the time and effort that SOMEONE put into the truck and admire that, istead of ignoring the truck completely and bashing me for driving/buying it?.

sorry, this is probably just me ranting...but its starting to get on my nerves.

That term is why there are a lot of hacked up trucks. People need not put so much emphasis on it, because it makes people feel like they have to build their trucks. Even though not all of them are capable. The people that are though, good job, but don't put someone down if they can't, or don't have the time.

I doubt it will ever go away though.

I do agree that you get alot more satisfaction out of a car that you built. Nothing like driving a masterpiece you put together

I don't think it's a big deal if people buy something built... the only thing wrong is when people buy something and act or claim like they did all the work...

Very simple...Look at what the majority of the Built not Bought have. Look at the work... Then point out that you bought your fine piece of machinery for about what they have into their interesting vehicle.

Basically enjoy your ride and ignore those people. Because those are the same people that whine when a truck goes to hell or disappears. So either way they are going to complain about something.

Even if you bought a "done" ride you are still going to work on it. Driven custom vehicles always need work.

Then of course the kicker. Built not Bought eh?? So you compressed the material to make the glass, you made the tires, you forged the material for the wheels, you designed the engine.

Unless someone created a ground of vehicle from raw earth then they to bought it.

90% of all minitruckers build a ride get tired of it and sell it, if it wasn't for people like you that want a custom ride and don't have the capabilities to build it people building a ride then not being able to sell it would be pointless! It would be great to sit around and look at but you can only keep so many cars at 1 house! Fuck em all! Enjoy your badass ride wether you built it or not!

I dont know why everyone asks that question.. I mean honestly, do I look like I could build my trucks suspension? For that reason it does get annoying.. Ive never asked that question to anyone since ive been building the last 10 years.. It doesnt really matter.. as long as you dont buy shit and tear it up
