ok it's in my honda, but i know it'll get answered here. what size fuse should I be running. I blew a 30 amp when we hooked it up, and i just blew a 40 amp on the way to work this morning, and had to ride home with no air. that sucked balls. each compressor is rated for only 14 amps, so i thought a 30 or 40 would do the trick.. what gives?? what size do I need to run?
i thought viair 450s were 23 amps max. i'd get a 50 amp.
ok, well I went and bought a 50 amp, and it blew. what's the biggest that would still be safe, and/or, what could be the problem why they keep blowing?
If you keep blowing amps something might be wrong. I usually run 40 amp relays and never have issues.
i ususally use the 30 amp realays and with 2 comps a 60 amp fuse never had a problem with tha tset up. what gauge is your wireing you might need to upgrade teh wire size
ya i got a 50 amp on (2) 480s. no probs. make sure wire size is right.
are you just running an inline 30 amp fuse or relay? because your post does say fuse and that could be the problem.
i have a seperate relay (30 amp) for each compressor. 8 guage wire into each relay..
to think of it, it would have to be a wire problem. after i canned the car, it ran fine for a few days, then yesterday it started screwing up. I guess I'll have to check the wiring in the morning.
