steering column problem on my b./d k5

my steering column is hitting my A arm when it is aired all the way down, whats the best way around this? the blazer is body dropped on 22's

on my boys 70 bd blazer we shaved the firewall and mounted the column about an inch higher than it was the original location, it clears with about 1/2 inch now.

best bed is a lenght of double d shaft and two steering u joints to get around the control arm. can get em from flaming river. normal c-10 problem sadly
