REAR DISC CONVERSION PROBLEMS

Doin a SSBC rear disc conversion on a 83 El Camino and Im not getting enough pressure to the rear to make em work. Talked to SSBC the say I need to open up the factory proportioning valve? Any one ever experience this. need help

drums and disks do take differnt pressures so you would be better off though to put in an adjustable one.
