as far as smog shit goes down here in Ga, well, there isnt any laws. they just about wouldnt care if your truck had 3 wheels as long as you could keep the bastard straight down the road. id imagine those things would prolly sell like hot cakes to places where smog shit doesnt matter. being youd be the only one to offer them is def a plus for you too.

I DIDNT THINK THOSE HIGH FLOW CATS WERE HALF WAY WORTH A SHIT... DO THEY STILL WORK? CAN I PASS SMOG WITH ONE? I HAVE ONE AND THOUGHT SINCE IT WAS PRETTY MUCH A GLASS PACK IT WOULDNT DO ANYTHING.

fucking genious!!!

I look forward to hearing how it sounds. are there any other concerns someone who uses it might have like emissions?

you are definitely on to something, just like your drop motor mounts and other ideas..... I wonder where you might find the time to market all of your genious? and even the rear brake conversion for toyota axles.

I forgot to mention that in the original post, but I did think about it. They most definitely won't be smog legal in CA at the very least. I don't know other state smog laws, so that would be left to your own judgment. However I am unsure if mufflers are smog approved in the first place? I have never really paid attention. I know in CA it is illegal to modify your stock exhaust system period, but exhaust shops do it all day. Its kind of a gray area as far as I know. And out of all the times I have been to the smog station (A LOT) they have never checked my muffler. I will ask the guy I go to smog for, hes pretty straight forward with me about the laws and how to bend them. Regardless, I will still sell them with the standard "For off road or show use only" phrase attached.

mufflers dont effect your smog. i havnt had a muffler in almost 4 years passed smog 2 times IN cali. so no it wont matter for smog laws .

Yeah its packed with steel wool. It doesn't seem to limit flow in any way as far as I can tell. I just figure it will keep the noise down a bit.

I have one on my truck. It passes smog with it no problem.

As soon as I get the truck running again I will use the video camera to record some sound.

I could be interested. I have been in search of the lowest profile mufflers.

Well, no, its not. I need to put the new alternator on.

But I didn't build it for my truck, I built it for the 720 I am working on. I just hung my muffler behind the cab. But I wish I had done this before because it would look cleaner only seeing exhaust tubing in the back.

random question.... you still use the tubing bender that you built for all your bending needs??
