ahhhhhh this topic again, well i have and always will run copper lines. way back when a good little fellow named clyde from silver star told me on the phone one day about it and sent me a roll of copper and a bender and the rest is history. never had a prob with it and it shines up real nice with some metal polish.

Use copper then chrome it if you dont like its appearance.

I personally like copper better, for its ease of use, and avalability. If for some reason something gets damaged, you know you'll be able to find some copper and fittings at your local hardware shop.

Im working on a 56 lincoln with the AC in the trunk and its all copper lines ran from the front to the rear. Their the original lines and they are still in decent shape. Id run copper, its proven to work well, and stainless it a btch to properly flange, cant do it with your home depot $2 hand flange jobbie.

I like the soft copper because it's so easy to work, plus I have a ratchet bender on the work truck that'll bend 90's up to 7/8"

i would go with copper for the simplicity. i have had nothing but problems with the stainless steel. its hard to bend and it leaks.

on a truck thats gonna get as much attention as isabella do stainless.

stainless & swagelok fittings = no flaring tools needed.

ebay is probably the best place to get swagelok.

someplace local might be best for stainless line, but it might be worth a shot to give these guys a call, they have good prices.
