thinking about getting 4" upper/lower djm control arms w/ future plans of adding shockwaves... i want to keep the wheels i have but for them to tuck they would need to set about an inch further in... the only way i can think of would be to shorten the control arms... i have heard of places to send them and have it done but i cant find em. any help?

Often times, simply shortening your arms isn't the right way to do it. What kind of truck is it? I'm not sure what a nnbs is.

nnbs = new new body style i believe.. they call the NBS = 99-04 or 05.. obs = 88-98 and so i'm guessing the nnbs is the 06 or 07 and up.

i planned on having some shortened tubular arms built for my 87 b2200 to fit a certain wheel i want, any other recommendations(sp) Max?

sorry Mike, just figured i had the same question for a diff truck so i asked.

hey russ, when you shorten them, then the more your camber will change in a shorter distance.. imo the answer to what you wanna do is pull the motor and narrow the front clip.

Exactly what P said. But when you narrow the front clip a rack and pinion that is narrower will be needed also or the geometry will be way off. I would measure the pivot points of your rack and then measure some different racks and narrow the clip accordingly. Also an idea is to convert the ends that thread on the rack to heims and this would allow the machined pieces to be made shorter esentially narrowing the rack pivot points. Hope this helps. JR

narrowing the arms will limit the travel and exaggerate the camber faster. How much are you needing to narrow?
