my truck is carburated and im starting to do some theft prevention so i need to hook up some kill switches problem is there are only 2 wires really i can splice into that will make the truck not run unlike a fuel injected motor. and those wires can be easily by passed so i was thinking if i spliced in a on off valve in the fuel line would it be a problem like restrict the flow to the carb??

shouldnt be. are you talking about an electric valve? do you have an electric fuel pump? if so, just switch the ignition keyed lead to its relay. why do you need to be so worried about the truck being stolen? if somebody wants something bad enough, they can get it. with a carb, you can gas can gravity feed and hotwire to the coil anything.

You could do a battery kill switch instead of fuel.

no i was thinking a manual valve. my truck has a mechanical fuel pump. and i figure it will be kinda hard to tow a laid out truck besides im more worried about douche bag kids. but i just wana have peice of mind since i dont have a garage. i know theres ways around everything on this truck cause its so simple. but the more things to slow someone down the better.

wouldnt that be a pain in the ass to have to go pop the hood and turn a valve on everyday. and they can see you do it since you arent garaged. id say just hide a killswitch for your compressors or a switched ground of every valve so they cant get it off the ground. no jack under it, no moving it, no stealing it or the wheels.
