For me I only build them when I dont get a chance to design the suspension before the truck is in the shop. Anytime I can pre-measure the bars, I will order them. If I need something strange or have to figure them out last minute, then I build them.

In my opinion, for $50 a bar from SD, its simply not worth the time and materials to do it yourself if you can have your bar lengths figured out ahead of time. Plus you are guaranteed to get a jig built, quality part from SD.

I'd say build it if you can do it right and safely, otherwise call up www.suicidedoors.com and order what you need.

oh and it's definately cheaper..I just buy my bushings and get the brackets lazer cut from a shop in michagan they are cheaper than sd and you can get them cut anyway you want

Its over $30 just to buy 1 adjustable end and one weld on end. If you need a weld in bung, its another $5. Plus steel to build the bar itself. If you dont value your time one bit I guess you can save $5 or so per bar.

I cut all my own tabs and that makes a difference when it comes to comparing kit prices, but on a cost per bar basis, $50 is a tough deal to pass up unless you don't have a choice IMO.

Huh? You mean if you buy em and fuck up your 4-link geometry you can blame it on SD?!

I'm with Joel 100%, give Jason a call.

It is nice to have the bars allready made up, definately cuts down on the fab/install time. We also make our own 4 links in house, we have off the shelf units allready built. Also if you have specific requirements we can make them up no problem. Turnaround time is usually 1-3 business days.
