I wouldn't suggest doing this. Although it is cheap and pretty easy, its pretty dangerous. You're scraping the sidewall off your tire thus taking away the sidewall strength.

Those have been out for at least 4 years from diamondback. I drove down there and picked mine up, been running them ever since and they are great tires. They are kind of a waste if you cant rock a big whitewall imo, I would get rid of mine but I was one of the first to pull it all together so I will keep rockin em but they are expensive lol.
